Born in Montreal, Lisa Baldwin is a contemporary Canadian oil painter based in Los Angeles who creates art that weaves conceptual themes into a framework that celebrates the natural world.

Lisa brings both meticulous formal expertise and back country plein air experience to her paintings creating a compelling contrast of skills to execute her conceptual themes.

She edits her compositions to include only what is essential, like a visual haiku. Painting with very quick gestural brushstrokes her finished works represent a specific moment in nature.

Lisa Baldwin is an alumni of Saskatchewan's legendary art retreat at Emma Lake and has been exhibited internationally. Her work is in private collections across the United States, Canada, China, Belgium and Hungry.
